Speaker 1:

I shoot my shot and it's clean. This is my city. Yeah, this is my team Talking and talking to be nice. What's up everybody? Welcome to Dakari Hoops Takes.

Speaker 1:

I'm your host and today I'm going to be doing a recap of the Phoenix Suns versus the Orlando Magic game. So let's jump straight into it. The Orlando Magic show just how resilient they really are by defeating the Phoenix Suns without Franz Wagner and Paulo Benqueiro, by defeating the Phoenix Suns without Franz Wagner and Paulo Benqueiro. Saturday morning, I received some unfortunate news that Franz would be out indefinitely with a torn oblique, and when I heard these news, I was depressed Because I didn't think the Magic will be able to overcome their offensive struggles and I thought that they would lose plenty of games until at least Paulo returns. But I feel much better now that they got the job done. This win really shows just how resilient this team is and how much further they are in their development.

Speaker 1:

So leading the way for the Magic was Jalen Suggs. Jalen Suggs had 26 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. This is the type of game I need Jalen Suggs to play every night he needs to be under control, make timely threes and defend. If he does these things, the Mavs are going to be a much more deadly team and he's going to be a very, very good player. We already knew Jalen Suggs would be a lockdown defender coming into this league, but if he just continues to develop offensively, then, yeah, the sky's the limit for him. Mo Wagner had a solid game with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 seals and 1 block. That's how you play. He just does what he has to do to win. Man Mo Wagner is a solid player and he's one of the better 6-mans of the NBA. Jamal Mosley, listen very, very carefully. You don't have to overthink the center rotation. Start Go-Gum and put Mo Wagner as the backup center. You're winning more games. You done went on multiple winning streaks. There's no reason to change up what you're doing once paulo and frauds returns. Wendell carter jr is not the answer. He doesn't defend well all the time he gets boxed out and he's just soft man and I want wendell Carter Jr off my team.

Speaker 1:

The one guy who really really showed up last night, who I've been hating on for a long time, was Cole Anthony. Cole Anthony had 14 points. This was literally his best game of the season. He was under control and he made clutch shots. If Cole Anthony, for once in his career, can be consistent man, he's going to be very, very, very good, but his biggest challenge is he plays out of control and he's inefficient man. But last night he did what he had to do, so I can't really hate on him.

Speaker 1:

The magic were very, very good defensively, which is why they won this game. Devon booker scored 25 points, but he shot 38 percent from the field. If you could lock down Devin Booker, you have a significant shot to win, and they really executed the game plan defensively. Overall, man, this was a good game. I'm really proud of this team. They didn't back down and they just did what they had to do to win. This is the end of the first episode of the Dakaris Hoops Takes podcast.
